When a tenancy comes to an end, you will need to indicate on the tenancy that notice has been served.
A tenancy is associated with a property. You must therefore identify and select the required property:
From the resulting view of property details select the Tenancies tab. This will result in a list of all tenancies associated with this property (if any) being displayed. Click on the edit icon (pencil image) of the tenancy to be ended. In the resulting screen simply click on the Notice served which is found within the tenancy details. Once you have selected this you can then add in the date on which the tenant served notice to the letting agency that they intend to vacate the property, or notice was served by the letting agency to the tenant to quit the premises.
Note: If the tenancy end date is now different to the original end date specified this also needs to be adjusted to reflect the actual end date of the tenancy so as to calculate any outstanding rent that may be due.
Note: If the tenancy is Periodic then you must set a periodic end date via the Set end date link alongside the Periodic Tenancy? tick box.
When the Notice Served has been selected for a tenancy rent and tenant balances impacted by this change will be appended by '(NS)'.
