If each tenant is allocated a specific flat within a property then each unit / flat should be defined as an individual property within Solo/Origin, e.g. the addresses would be
Flat 1, 8 Osborne Promenade
Flat 2, 8 Osborne Promenade
Each property would then have a single associated tenancy.
If on the other hand the property is a House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) where each tenant is individually responsible for their rent then create a single property but create a tenancy for each tenant with the rental value being the amount of rent for that tenant. To assist with keeping track of which room a tenant is in you can append the room number onto their name e.g. Joe Bloggs (Rm 1).
To help you keep track of the number of active tenancies allowed in the property and if there is any vacancies then on the Property in questions 'Details' tab that is used for marketing the property, update the Max Tenancies to reflect the number of rooms in the property. If this was set to a Max Tenancies of 5 and there is only 3 current tenancies in the property it would show as Vacancy. The Vacancy Report will also help you keep track of which properties have vacancies (Reports > Alerts > Vacancy Report)/
