If you give notice to a tenant to leave a property within the tenancy you can record when the notice was served and when the tenant is to vacate the property should this be a different date than the tenancy end date.
To serve notice on a tenancy simply go to the tenancy in questions and click on the pencil icon to edit.
Once in the tenancy tick the Notice Served box which will then apply all rents due to the tenancy end date. When you tick the Notice Served box you will also have the option to set a Notice Expiry Date of when the tenant should leave the property. By default this will show as the tenancy end date.
To help you keep track of tenancies where notice has been served so you are aware when they should be vacating the property and if they don't you can start court proceedings the Notice Served Report will provide the necessary information. You can view this report by going to Reports > Alerts > Notice Served. The Notice Alert report details the tenancy end date (this will be set to the Periodic End Date if applicable), the number of days to tenancy end date, the notice expiry date and the number of days to the notice expiry date. Only tenancies with the Notice Alert Ind tick box checked will appear in this report. In addition if the notice expiration occurred more than 20 days in the past then the tenancy will be excluded from the report. A dashlet of this information is available for your dashboard, simply let the support team now which one you would like switched out for this one.
