The primary use of Tenant Preferences is to match tenants seeking accommodation with vacant properties. To access tenant preference details click on the Property Requirements tab within the tenant details screen. From here you can specify criteria which describe the type of property the tenant is seeking. These criteria are:
- Location, i.e. town
- Minimum rental value (expressed in PCM)
- Maximum rental value (expressed in PCM)
- Sector
- Type
- Bedrooms
Save Preferences
To the right of preference fields is a link - Find Matching Properties - which, when clicked, will retrieve a matching set of vacant properties.
Another element to the Property Requirements tab is the Match Tenant? checkbox. This field is used to match vacant properties to tenants and should be set when a tenant is seeking a property. When a new tenant is added to Solo/Origin the application will automatically set the "Match Tenant?" flag. Similarly when a tenant is associated with a new tenancy the "Match Tenant?" flag will be unset. The value of this flag is demonstrated via the Vacancy Report (Reports > Alerts > Vacancy Report). An icon (Find Tenants) is displayed alongside each vacant property in the list. When this icon is clicked a list of tenants, whose search preferences meet the characteristics of the vacant property, will be displayed.
