Once you have received the Security Deposit from a tenant and recorded this as explained in Receipt of Security Deposit you will then want to show that this Security Deposit has been lodged with a Deposit Protection Scheme.
To do this go to the Property that is associated with the Security Deposit and click on the Tenancies tab
Within the Tenancies tab go to the relevant tenancy if more than one and you will now see a spreadsheet symbol click on this. You will then see that the amount of the Security Received and that it is in a State of Received, click on the edit icon
Complete the details of the Bank Account that the money has left, the method of payment to the Deposit Protection Scheme and also the Deposit ID.
You can also record any additional information within the notes should this be required.
Once you have completed the relevant information click on Record Lodgement, the Security Deposit will now show as having left your bank account and has been recorded with a Deposit Protection Scheme.
