DocuSign is an electronic signature service which provides legal proof of exchange, a verifiable & admissible record of the delivery transaction, electronic signature, content, and official time of signing.
Connect your DocuSign account to Solo/Origin
To enable DocuSign's electronic signature service within Origin you'll require a DocuSign Signature account. You can trial this service for free for 30 days via the following link:
https://go.docusign.co.uk/o/trial/?tgr=uk-trial-Header
After you have received your DocuSign account details enter them into your Solo/Origin account via the Services tab of the Control Panel (select Admin -> Control Panel from the main menu)
Any templates (landlord, tenant or supplier) with which you intend to use with the electronic signature service will require customisation by the Solo/Origin support team. Contact us for further details of this customisation process.
The customised document can require electronic signatures from multiple parties, e.g. tenants, guarantors, agency staff, etc. Each party can be required to sign the document in multiple locations.
When valid DocuSign Signature account details have been supplied the Electronic Signature option will be enabled when emailing a letter created from a template that has been customised for use with this service.
Ticking the 'Request Signature' checkbox will display a list of names from whom signatures are required. These will be pre-populated by Origin where possible. For instance, if required, Origin will retrieve tenant, landlord and guarantor details from the associated tenancy (which you should have previously created)
If not auto-populated then you should supply the required names and email addresses.
You will be notified when each party has viewed the document. All parties will receive a copy of the signed document when complete. If one or more signatures are not required for this letter then they can be unselected by unticking the appropriate check box.
After clicking on the ' Send Email ' button the parties will receive the document in sequence for signing. You will be notified when each party has viewed the document. When all signatures have been obtained all parties will receive a copy of the signed document.
