Data is migrated from Tilt to Arthur in two stages, as outlined in this article.
- Core data, e.g. landlords, properties, tenants, tenancies, contractors, certificates...
- Financial data, e.g. recurring rent and charge schedules, and opening balances
Your "migration date"
The first set of data (core data) is imported to Arthur on your agreed migration date, usually between the 15th and 25th of month 1 of your migration plan.
We create a snapshot of your data the night before and pass this to the Arthur team for import, so any records you subsequently create on Tilt (e.g. properties, tenants, tenancies) must be manually added to Arthur also to keep the two in sync.
On that date, once your migration is complete you will receive an email from the Arthur team with your new login details.
You should now manage all non-financial activities on Arthur, but continue to record all financial activity (receipts and payments) on Tilt until either (1) your conversion date, or (2) your Xero integration is complete. See below for more details on both.
If you have portal or website feeds in place from your Tilt account, please continue to manage these from the Tilt platform until a member of the Tilt team coordinates the switchover.
Your "conversion date"
Your conversion date is the date from which your financials will be managed on Arthur.
This involves us taking your closing balances from Tilt (typically at the close of business on the last day of month 1of your migration timeline), and importing these to Arthur as your opening balances on the first day of month 2.
If you have purchased a Xero integration, you should still continue to manage your financials on Tilt until this Xero integration is complete. Don't worry if this sounds confusing, we will be in touch during this time to keep you informed of the sequence of events.
Otherwise, you must now manage all financial activity on Arthur from the conversion date (1st).
You can still refer to your Tilt account to cross-check your data, as you retain access to this until December 2022.
